The Campaign for National Parks
National parks are forever

And YOU can help ensure that they stay that way.
America's treasured icons face unprecedented challenges.
Rising sea levels, changing weather patterns, visitor congestion, changing visitor demographics, aging infrastructure — to name a few — all impact parks. The scale and complexity of these challenges necessitate a new way forward — a path that requires leadership, imagination, and innovation.
The National Park Foundation's historic fundraising initiative — The Campaign for National Parks — in collaboration with the National Park Service and Park Partners will catalyze solutions that make America's parks resilient and secure their future.
The spirit of America is embodied in our more than 420 national parks — in every state, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories.
These parks inspire and amaze us. At times, they unsettle us. They remind us of our past and point us toward our future.
And always, they beckon us.
But they need your help
Landscapes and battlefields. Monuments and memorials.
Historical and cultural sites. Trails, rivers, lakes, and seashores.
These natural wonders and hallowed places showcase both the beauty and extraordinary stories of our country.
Places and stories that teach us, shape us, even define us — as individuals and as a nation.
Isn’t that worth protecting?
Our success as stewards of our national parks comes from remarkable teamwork that brings together:
A unique government agency
National Park Service (NPS)
NPS has been entrusted with the care of our national parks since 1916. NPS safeguards these special places and shares their stories with more than 300 million visitors every year.
A national nonprofit organization
National Park Foundation (NPF)
NPF is the official nonprofit partner of NPS, enriching America’s national parks and programs through the generous support of private citizens, foundations, and corporate partners.
Park partners
Park partners from across the country
More than 400 park partners across the country team up with NPS and NPF to support and execute projects and programs that are as diverse as the parks and people they support.
... and generous donors
