In Service of America's Parks

In collaboration with the National Park Service, NPF will support opportunities for youth, volunteers, and veterans to serve in parks.

Studies continue to show that many young people do not spend much time outside.
Little time playing. Exploring. Or just being kids.

The benefits our national parks offer are physical, social, emotional, and intellectual. Parks inspire young people and spark their curiosity.

NPF WILL SUPPORT INITIATIVES THAT CLOSELY ALIGN WITH PARK MODERNIZATION, CONSTRUCTION, AND RESTORATION.

Engaging Youth and Volunteers

We will also support volunteer programs and opportunities that provide youth work experience. By engaging more youth in our parks, we will nurture a lifelong love of nature and an appreciation of America’s rich history and culture.

Here’s how your gift helps inspire youth and volunteers

Outdoor Exploration & Youth Education

Our national parks are America’s largest classroom, providing eye-opening and hands-on learning experiences. Building on a child’s innate wonder and curiosity, NPF’s youth programs connect students to our nation’s parks through field trips, classroom engagements, and virtual activities.

Workforce Development

Service Corps bring together local work crews to address recreation access, habitat restoration, disaster response, and historic preservation. Participants include young adults, veterans, and members of tribal groups.
Gifts to the campaign will be used to expand this unique program, giving many more participants the opportunity to develop a love of parks, gain leadership skills, and make a positive impact on our parks.
