Signature Projects

NPF is raising funds to support an ambitious, multi-year effort to reimagine the visitor experience at Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The first phase involves redesigning and developing a vibrant visitor center at Painted Canyon.
The park protects more than 70,000 acres of land and welcomes more than 750,000 visitors each year, functioning as an economic engine for North Dakota.

America 250 Readiness Grants

To prepare parks for the anniversary year, NPF will deploy America 250 Readiness Grants to address their unique needs, ensuring they are equipped to welcome visitors.

Strengthening Park Operations: Partner Housing Catalyst Program

Providing adequate and affordable housing for park personnel and seasonal workers is a critical and immediate need. The need is especially heightened for iconic national parks, where the lack of affordable housing impedes recruitment and retention efforts.
NPF will collaborate with park partners across the country to advance immediate and long-term housing solutions with catalyst grants and, where appropriate, joint fundraising for housing needs.

Legacy Restoration Fund Reauthorization

In 2020, the Great American Outdoors Act (GAOA), a landmark, bipartisan legislation, was signed into law. It established the Legacy Restoration Fund (LRF) to address the National Park Service’s critical infrastructure needs.
NPF is now leading efforts in collaboration with congressional leaders and the entire park partner community to secure the reauthorization of this critical program.
